Honour Winter Solstice Today

Winter solstice offers us a radiant day of reflection, to bring ourselves into the present, feel life humming through our fingertips, embodying the connection and embrace of community and simply being. 

 

Join us in honouring and celebrating the rich traditions that connect us to nature’s cycles.  

If you’re looking for a way to thank the Creator and acknowledge nature’s gifts, here are some winter solstice practices:  

  1. Light a smudge giving thanks to all your blessings and hold a moment of gratitude for your community. 
  2. Allow yourself time to slow down and be present with loved ones. Turn off notifications and allow yourself to soak up the current day. 
  3. Be in nature; whether you have 5 minutes or an hour, go outside and walk in your neighbourhood, a park, or a nearby forest. Really embrace what is around you, breathe in the crisp winter air, appreciate the strength and resilience of the trees, notice the colours of the sky, and how the ground feels on your feet.  

 

Life in 2023 moves extremely fast, winter solstice allows us time to come back to ourselves, embracing our humanity and the gift that this life is. Utilize this time to remember what is important to you, and practice appreciation and gratitude for the days ahead.
