COVID19 Update

COVID-19 Urgent Response Fund
Reaches More Than $200,000 To-Date

“I feel so much better since I got started with phone counselling with @Anishnawbe Health. People who need these services must feel so lost, so I am happy that they are reaching out to do phone counselling. My level of anxiety has already dropped majorly.  Miigwetch!” – Tweet from AHT Client on March 31, 2020

Thanks to our generous supporters, phone counselling is just one of the ways that Anishnawbe Health Toronto staff are helping clients during the pandemic. The Health Centre remains open to serve clients and, thanks to the donations to our COVID-19 Pandemic Urgent Response Fund, the team is able to offer more support for this vulnerable community to ensure the community stays as healthy as possible. We are doubling our efforts to get healthy, nutritious food to the most at risk community members; providing more support with housing issues to ensure no client loses housing due to the crisis; increasing access to remote counselling for clients facing additional mental health challenges because of social distancing and working on ways to bring mobile health care and traditional healing to the homeless and precariously housed.
